Makeup: Blush On

Makeup Talk: Blush On

When I was a kid, blush on maybe one of the makeup product that I hated the most. Because my ‘kindergarten brain’ thought that ‘looking like a clown’ was kinda disturbing (ampuuun sotoy amat ya saya waktu kecil huahaha XD). But twenty years later, I browsed here and there, it seems that blush ons can actually polish our look if we apply them properly. So let’s take a look at these gorgeous ladies, my celebrity crushes :D
They are using blush ons but doesn’t look like clowns (dan juga ga seperti abis ditampar kan?). The blush ons are barely even there but just enough to make them looked fresh. For daily makeup I really suggest using blush on without overdoing it. Be as natural as possible. Don’t forget that one of the sign you’re doing your blush properly is when people can’t notice that the lovely blush on your face is from makeup! ;) This infographic below will help you find your best way in putting on natural blush on based on your face shape:

For photography purpose or certain occasion, you can play crazy on blushes because camera flash can wash out your colors. Moreover, do it as how you wanted to be because makeups can improve the mood & theme on photography shoots. Heavy, purple, green, vermilion or whatever.. it’s totally up to you ;) Like this one, this is obviously for photoshoots~

I think that’s enough talking about blush on. I hope you find this helpful :)

[Review] MakeOver: Blush On – #03 Promiscious Peach

MakeOver is an Indonesia makeup brand that everyone look forward into. It’s very new (2010) compared to other Indonesian famous makeup brands such as La Tulipe (1980), Sariayu (1977), Viva (1962), Inez (1998). I knew this brand in mid 2013 from Agnes Oryza’s blog -although she blogged it in 2012 :P. MakeOver is famous for their eye liner pencils. A few people in FemaleDaily forum said that it feels like Urban Decay’s eye liner –I haven’t compared them though. I first went to their store last year in Paris van Java Mall, Bandung. From the store design and advertorial display I wouldn’t guess it’s a local Indonesian makeup because it was veryy modern and looked very professional. I had tried lots of their products (eye liner, eye shadows, makeup base corrector, loose powder, makeup remover) and I really like them so I want to give the blush on a try. Since my skintone is yellow fair-medium but also has a bit of pink (due to my complexion), I bought the Promiscious Peach shade number 03.

[Review] Caring Colours: Blush On – Terra Passion

I once had Caring Colours Beauty Licence “Me Time” set. This Beauty Licence was a makeup set consisted of 5 mini limited-edition Caring Colours products. They were all in one palette and it comes with a cute go-to pouch. One of the item was this Caring Colours Luxurious Perfecting Blush in Terra Passion shade. I really really really liked the natural finish of this blush on, so I bought the real size since the mini was already empty :)
